Art Nouveau Salmon Coral Bird Brooch in 21K Gold with Diamonds

This Art Nouveau brooch, dated circa 1900 in the collection records, features salmon coral carved into a bird among flowers and leaves. Fine lines define the feathers and foliage, while the layered carving gives the composition depth.

An elaborate openwork 21K gold frame surrounds the coral with leaf and branch motifs, continuing the naturalistic design. Four diamond accents, including one at the bird's eye, add small points of light beside the soft salmon-pink coral. The reverse shows the coral's lighter colour bands, openings and the long brooch pin.
