An ornate 800 silver basket with a richly coloured, removable cobalt-blue glass liner, attributed by the owner to the 1930s Art Deco period. The contrast between the deep blue glass and the detailed silverwork gives this piece a striking decorative presence.

The frame features floral garlands, scrolling foliage and figural motifs, supported on curved feet. A decorated arched handle completes the basket’s silhouette. With the liner removed, the pierced construction and ornamental details can be appreciated from both inside and outside.

An appealing addition to a collection of decorative silver and coloured glass, suited to display in a cabinet or as an individual accent piece.
